Social media is a beautiful platform to help display your brand to a broad audience. You can reach people from all over the world and connect through common interests. When creating a post, receiving likes, comments, shares, or even saves you need to understand what is working and where to adjust your strategy.
Take some time to analyze your top 3 social media platforms. For me it is Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. Take a look at your last 10 posts. What performed the best? Which post got the most engagement? Social media is AWESOME and literally tells you exactly what your audience likes. Take a closer look into the likes, comments, and saves.
On Instagram, use the “VIEW INSIGHTS” button to look further into your account. If you have a business account it tells you how many people clicked on your account just from the hashtags you used! Try out a few different sets of hashtags and see which posts have the highest response just from the hashtags. Hashtags are a great way to connect with likeminded people from all over the world!
From there, ask yourself “Am I providing valuable content to the RIGHT audience?” For my @Thesocialpace account, if I am delivering tips for business owners but my followers are my colleagues from high school, my message isn’t hitting my TARGET market. I will discuss later about engaging but to begin write down the qualities of your target audience, where they shop, live and work and go out and show up!
Once you analyze your best performing posts, ask yourself WHY did this perform so well? For me, it’s being open and raw with my audience about my life, journey and progress with my business in my posts. You will find that the best posts are the ones about you/your brand and getting to know the face behind the account.
From there, alter your social media strategy and find new ways to deliver to your audience.
